Editing and why i like it

Changing speeds - I like this because it can add tension to a scene. This could be used for the genre of action. I could improve my clips for this next time by trying to do slow motion.

Cropping an image - I like this because it can hide parts of an image if you don't want the audience to see it. This could be used for the genre crime as you can hide hints.

Fading/ dissolving - I like this because it creates a fun side towards a scene. This could be used for the genre comedy as it's simple and easy way to cut into the next scene.

Reverse clips - I like this because it's easy to use and creates a really good effect. This could for the genre of dramas as it's a good tool to use flashbacks with.

Desaturation - I like this because it's a way of  getting rid of most high contrasted colours. This could be used for the genre of horror because it can create a scary tone.

Layering or overlaying - I don't like this because it can ruin the mood of a scene and can distract the audience. This could be used for the genre of musicals to show dates or times.

4 way split screen - I don't like this effect because I feel that it makes a scene look to overcrowded. This could be used for the genre of westerns because it could be used to represent four people.

Stranger things: Audiences can use websites such as wikipedia and IMDB to consume and respond. These websites contain information about what happens and the actors and what other films are connected to this . On these sites audiences can consume trailers, clips and information about every little detail that happens throughout the series. Part of the stranger things fandom has also made a game, this game deals with the main monster and the little children trying to figure out the problem. Thriller sound effects

The sound helps the narrative because we know that this film is going to be full of action and it sets the atmosphere. This sound isn't normally the sound for this typical type of genre because it's quite a lively tune. Sound motif - This sound creates this genre of thriller because by using this we can hear certain noises such as gun shots and bombs. Influencing audiences

Evening of TV from 6pm to 10pm. 1) 21 year old male who is a uni student at Oxford University reading maths. 6-6:30pm - Eggheads 6:30-7pm - ITV evening news 7-8pm - Shakespeare uncovered 8-9pm - QI XL 9-10pm - Law and order I chose these 5 different programmes for this 21 year old Oxford student because he is at an outstanding university and one where you have to be extremely smart to get into and he's also reading maths so the programmes i have chosen are quite intellectual. The demographics is Aspires because he seeks status and is smart. He is also part of the B group because he is middle management, teachers, creative and media people.
